I love you
In February and March we have two opportunities to turn our thoughts towards some of the people whom we love – Valentine’s Day and Mothering Sunday.
Perhaps you will be sending cards or flowers or sharing a meal together. It’s so good to tell people that you love them.
Perhaps, if someone you love has died, they will be bitter-sweet occasions for you, as you remember your loved one with joy, but regret the fact that they are no longer with you.
Love is an important part of human life. To love and be loved are what most of us long for most of all, and it hurts when we don’t receive the love we long for.
As a Christian I believe that God loves each one of us, without any exceptions, with a love which is deeper and stronger than anything we can imagine. Each one of us is precious to him, and he wants the best for us all.
Sadly, many people try to ignore God. They don’t really want him to interfere in their lives and they don’t take any notice of the advice he gives us about the best way for us to live our lives. As a result the world is in a mess.
In spite of our turning away, God still loves us, unconditionally, and he continues to offer us his help and guidance. He wants to make a difference in your life – and through you, to make a difference in the world. Will you let him?
God didn’t send a card or a bunch of flowers, he sent his Son, Jesus Christ, and his message to the world is:
I love you.
